restorVault Secures Three Key Patents for Advanced Data Management and Recovery Solutions

SAN DIEGO, Calif., Oct. 11, 2024 –  restorVault, a leading innovator in data virtualization, data management, and recovery solutions, today announced the issuance of three pivotal patents by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. These new patents significantly enhance the company's intellectual property portfolio and solidify its position at the forefront of both on-prem and cloud-based unstructured data management and recovery technologies.

The recently issued patents are:

1. Patent No. 11630727: An advanced data management system for efficiently copying unstructured data.

2. Patent No. 11816000: A data access recovery apparatus for prioritized restoration of backed-up unstructured data files.

3. Patent No. 11977453: An innovative data access recovery system for expedited retrieval of specific files during data restoration.

"These patents represent a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to developing cutting-edge solutions for virtualizing, managing, and recovering unstructured data," said Jesse Charfauros, CEO of restorVault. "Our technologies address critical challenges in data management and data retention cost reduction, offering unprecedented efficiency and flexibility for enterprises dealing with large volumes of unstructured data, especially the huge amounts of inactive data that must still be retained for compliance."

Key innovations covered by these patents include:

  • A novel approach to copying unstructured data using Virtual Data Files (VDFs), potentially revolutionizing large-scale data backup operations.

  • Prioritized file retrieval systems allow expedited access to critical data, regardless of location (on-prem and cloud), during recovery processes.

  • Enhanced flexibility in data recovery, enabling users to access specific files within larger backup sets quickly – an essential capability in today’s data privacy landscape.

These patented technologies are expected to deliver substantial benefits to restorVault's clients, including faster data recovery times, more efficient use of storage resources, and improved data management capabilities in complex and regulated IT environments. These technologies also enhance eDiscovery processes by enabling the quick and accurate collection of potentially responsive data.

"As the volume of unstructured data continues to grow exponentially, the need for sophisticated management and recovery solutions across both on-prem and cloud repositories becomes increasingly critical," added Lisa Tuttle, VP of Sales for restorVault. "Our newly patented technologies provide a robust framework for addressing these challenges, offering our clients unparalleled control, speed of access, and cost control in their data operations."

restorVault remains committed to pushing the boundaries of efficient data management and recovery technologies, with these patents serving as a foundation for future innovations in the field.
